About Us

David W. Lee, DMD

David W. Lee The son of a police officer and a musician, Dr. David W. Lee grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon.

Active in athletics and outdoor activities, Dr. Lee enlisted in the U.S. Navy after graduating from high school, training as a Field Medic and serving with the United States Marine Corps, prior to attending school to become a physical therapy technician. He served the balance of his enlistment at the National Naval Medical Center in our nation’s capital.

After discharge from the military and graduation with high honors from the University of Oregon, Dr. Lee gained entry into the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in Portland, graduating in 1986. He then completed a one-year general practice residency at the Portland Veterans Hospital, with a year of private practice prior to gaining acceptance into the Orthodontic Residency Program at OHSU. Upon completion of the two-year residency, Dr. Lee entered private practice in Albany, OR in 1990 with expansion into Lebanon in 2006.

Dr. Lee has honed his clinical skills over the past 20 years and as an orthodontic specialist for over 15 years, has had an opportunity to treat a wide variety of bite problems in children and adults. An emphasis on jaw development in children ages 7 to 9 has led to a significant amount of non-extraction treatment in the teen years. The use of jaw orthopedics has led to a dramatic reduction of patients requiring surgery to correct their jaw imbalance.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Oregon Dental Association, Oregon Society of Orthodontics and the Southern Willamette Dental Society. He is also a life member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Disabled American Veterans.

Dr. Lee has two children, Marin and Jacob. He enjoys fishing, hunting, surfing, scuba diving, photography and woodworking.
